Beachbumming

"Beachbumming" is out of my comfort zone..24 x 36 oil painting...ahhh.  I like parts of it but not sure about it as a whole.  Will try some other larger paintings too...it's good to be out of one's comfort zone sometimes

Quiet Cove

Quiet Cove...a 9 x 12 oil demo from this morning.  I started with a palette knife and blocked in values and then went back with a brush to create detail

Paris Garden

My oil demo...9 x 12 Paris Garden.  This was  a hard one.  I had to eliminate a lot of chairs and simplify areas especially below the chairs

IAPS Master Circle 2017

This year I was unexpectedly awarded Master Circle status with IAPS, the International Association of Pastel Societies.  I will be awarded a medal though unfortunately will not be able to attend in Albuquerque this year.   This 12 x 16 pastel, "Bartender" was accepted into the Master Circle juried show for 2017...a great honor
