On the lead

Just finished "On the Lead" a 9 x 12 oil on canvas.  Started with the burnt sienna ground.  Wasn't sure about the background as I left it plain.  But, I liked the way it began to emerge from that. Added the yellow line at the end to separate back from foreground...not sure I'll keep it

Fishing Village

Fishing Village is an oil on canvas, 12 x 24 inches.
I always tone my canvas with a burnt or raw sienna acrylic tone.  I always squint a lot to see the overall shapes and values and do so even more when the image is more complicated.
