I plan to post current paintings on my blog site. I'm not much of a writer but I do love to paint. I do oils and pastels and I teach workshops. I plan to sometimes post demos and talk about how to create a painting as well.

Cranberry Field
Cranberry Field...a 9 x 12 inch pastel demo from my pastel class
Those colors!!!!!! Love this demo... the water is painted so beautifully as well showing the reflections of the sky and some of the gorgeous field... Excellent piece, Aline!
Aline, this is magnificent! You seem to break the rules & yet, upon closer inspection, you don't! You REALLY know color temperature & it's not just 'these colors are warm, these are cool.' Everything is in relation to the rest. I may copy this picture just as an exercise. I just love the 'Aline Coral' everywhere, especially w/ the deep scarlet & purples. You really capture the 'glow of light in the dappled front area & midway up on the right. I'll bet this picture gets a lot of notice! Like in competitions... L&K, Mary B.
Thanks Mary. It was more challenging than I thought it would be. It actually sold off my blog so no competition. I'm trying it in oil...so far not working!
