I plan to post current paintings on my blog site. I'm not much of a writer but I do love to paint. I do oils and pastels and I teach workshops. I plan to sometimes post demos and talk about how to create a painting as well.

Cincinnati Workshop
Had a fabulous time teaching a pastel and oil workshop at the Cincinnati Art Club. My two demos
Oh, Aline, I wish I lived on the East Coast so I could go to your workshops! Both these works are wonderful. You make intriguing choices for 'plein air' subjects--you "document" humans in the 21st century. The Impressionists did the same in their era. You do this with great 'affection' for your subjects. I think that's partly why Pastel Journal chose your bartender to honor. That & the fact that the pastel is also beautifully executed, of course. I commented on your 9/1 entries on this blog. I hope you saw my gushing remarks. (My opinions are SO important...) Have fun in Croatia! If you go again next year, I plan to join you. Life is too short. L&K, MaryB
