Winter Waning

Winter Waning is 16 x 20 oil on canvas

  1. This is GREAT,Aline! I think so, anyway. I love the grays you've mixed. The tones are simply beautiful--the greens & the deep purples(?). Really evocative, too. Bare trees, snow--yet the sky is blue & the water is not frozen. You DID capture that moment when winter starts to fade. I like this piece a lot, Aline!

  2. This painting is really wonderful. The water color is gorgeous - those greens! ... and the not well-defined buildings through the bare trees. That dark bank of earth at water's edge ... yes, you can tell winter is waning.
