Aline, I just love how you paint people. You capture their mood, find their body language at its most expressive, & you keep it simple. The cant of this woman's head & her serene expression are lovely & evocative. She may not be a classic beauty but you've made her a modern goddess or madonna.I love her slightly plump form in her beautiful blue dress--she is simply wonderful. Placing her against the complementary orange backdrop sets her off perfectly. Just a great work of art. Timeless. L&K, MaryB
Thank you Mary! She is a model I've used who is so sweet and tiny but now pregnant! Thus the little bump. I do struggle with single figures on a canvas and am in awe of so many artists I see who succeed so well in this. I'm happy you like this one.
