Heading down the Road

This is a 20 x 20 inch painting I did as a demo for my class. I wanted to talk about the drama of creating a design where the foreground is big and essentially "empty" while the jewels of color are at the top. In this way, one is traveling down the road instead of just standing stationary and looking at a scene.

  1. This is SO beautiful, Aline. Most of the time you see the opposite...more sky...and more "jewels" in the foreground! This is lovely!!

  3. Thank you for sharing this one. The empty foreground has always been a problem for me. Congratulations on becoming a member AIS!
