I plan to post current paintings on my blog site. I'm not much of a writer but I do love to paint. I do oils and pastels and I teach workshops. I plan to sometimes post demos and talk about how to create a painting as well.

Like the ladies above, I love everything about this painting, too. It does seem to be 'bursting' in many ways, as though you dropped the paint from above to get the very organic shape of the branches/foliage. It's stunning. The center of the trees looks like a glorious mosaic where the sun shines through. You've also mixed exquisite neutrals that 'imply' tons of color. 2nd topic: Congrats on Mr. Bartender! I just love him & I'm glad he brought you yet another award from Dakota. I could look at him really enlarged on Dakota's website--HOW do you do it, Aline? His face is a few swipes of color, the bottles behind are implied by a single mark. You must place one pat of pastel then race across the room to study its effect. Will I ever have such patience? Or stamina? I hope so. You are a goddess. L&K, MaryB
Beautiful! I love the loose watercolor quality of this painting and that dramatic burst of sunlight.
