I plan to post current paintings on my blog site. I'm not much of a writer but I do love to paint. I do oils and pastels and I teach workshops. I plan to sometimes post demos and talk about how to create a painting as well.

Minturn dock
A little 8 x 10 plein air this morning in Minturn, a part of the island. Minturn dock
Aline, I LOVE all of these little studies you've done! No, not studies--complete paintings that are smallish. I'm working small, too, just to get more pieces under my belt. I'm also doing 2nd versions of 'failed' pieces to see if I can improve them (I can!). I especially like the hints of your underpaintings in orangey tones--they make your blues & greens so lively. And I love the image of you pulling off your painting smock & leaping into the swimming hole you just painted!I wrote you a comment on the pastel that was accepted into PSA. Pls read if you can. My remarks apply to these lovely gems, too! Your biggest fan (I am HUGE...)MaryB
