I plan to post current paintings on my blog site. I'm not much of a writer but I do love to paint. I do oils and pastels and I teach workshops. I plan to sometimes post demos and talk about how to create a painting as well.

Peacham Trees
18 x 18 oil on canvas...Peacham Trees...just becoming autumn
Aline, this piece is just SO beautiful I can hardly stand it. What freedom with colors! And with such wonderful results! It is inspiring to me to see you pull this wildly colorful piece together--there IS wonderful color harmony, even though you've used so many. I also love the 'bravura' brush strokes. It's almost a kind of 'pointillism' only bigger. But under it all is sound design & value structure. I learn so much from studying your paintings. Thanks for posting them. L&K, MaryB

ReplyDeleteThanks you so much. I admit to stuggling to make this dramatic but not garish.
