I plan to post current paintings on my blog site. I'm not much of a writer but I do love to paint. I do oils and pastels and I teach workshops. I plan to sometimes post demos and talk about how to create a painting as well.

Cat Pitcher
My oil painting demo from my morning class. The idea was, once again, to think of shapes in an abstract way...group your tulips rather than paint each one separately. The star is the pitcher and the tulips are accent
Aline, this is gorgeous--& what a helpful idea: to think of the tulips as one 'shape' to paint. Anything that gets me to be more abstract in my approach helps. I always default to 'things' when I want to stick with shapes. Mostly, tho, I want to know about this 'star pitcher!' Is that a kitty cat that serves as its handle? WILD! Where did you find this unusual object? Are there anymore...? L&K, MaryB
