I plan to post current paintings on my blog site. I'm not much of a writer but I do love to paint. I do oils and pastels and I teach workshops. I plan to sometimes post demos and talk about how to create a painting as well.

Selected for IAPS 22nd Annual Juried Show
I am happy and proud to announce that "Clothesline" and "Three on a Bench" have been selected for the International Association of Pastel Societies 22nd annual juried show!
Oh, you lucky & Very Deserving Girl!! Aline, I really hope you pick up an award. Who knows? You may end up with a set of Yarka Pastels! Maybe Mungyo, if you're lucky...
Seriously, Aline, it's a HUGE honor to have 2 paintings accepted. And I DO think you'll get up an award, a very good one, too. I love both of these works, especially 'Clothesline.' The cows, the coral sweater--it has it all.
I finally was ordered by my 'mentor' to send in three pieces to the PS of the West Coast juried competition this year. It is the first time I've ever competed. Why not start at the top? That's my motto. I suppose I could have begun with PSA, (or IAPS) but I missed the deadlines.
Again, Big Congrats on having TWO paintings accepted, Aline. Just to be accepted at all is a huge deal, I know. I mean, I'd faint dead away if I got into any of these shows--ever. At the rate I'm going, I won't have my required 10,000 hours of practice until I'm 102...
Congratulations, Aline!
