I went up to my camp on Martins Pond, brought my art supplies but forgot a canvas! So I had a small painting here I never liked and decided to put some acrylic over it and do a sunset from the other night. Here it is..more texture than usual due to the under painting. 9 x 12 oil
I forgot to post my last pastel from Swans Island. I finally found a wharf I could set up on and look at the boats there. Found my lobster boat. The water always turns the boats so one must capture the shape as quickly as possible. Then, of course, someone comes and takes the boat out. But it was still fun!

I drove around looking for a place to paint. The wharfs on Swans Island are wonderful and beautiful but they are working wharfs and as such, an artist painting is in the way. So I continued my quest down into a park that is on the water and did this pastel. 9 x 12
Some rolling thunder and not a great plein air day on Swans Island. Caught these two the other day with my iphone...good day to paint inside.

It was hot day yesterday but a cool breeze by this little inlet where I painted.
