I am pretty comfortable with small canvases and staying loose. But getting larger has been a learning experience. This painting is 18 x 24 inches, huge for me, small for some of my hero painters. Still not sure how I feel about it.

demo...small canvas big still life
One of my students brought in amazing pottery she has and incredible flowers from her garden. I only had a 9 x 12 inch canvas, so the demo was about design, negative spaces, blocking in the values before putting on the pattern. They did beautifully.

Entering White River Jct
I see changes happening in my work. Some I like, some confuse me. Not sure how I feel with this one. Sometimes I feel it's finished and what I "saw" and other times it seems so dark.
