Off to Italy!!

Well, one more day and we are off! The Tuscaneers are headed to Quercia al Poggio and my painting workshop. Looking forward to sun, wine, great food and great painting!

Camden Walkway

It has been a difficult time in the studio. I have been very lucky not to be affected physically by Hurricane Irene, but emotionally we are all here in Vermont affected. I have not felt like painting and forced myself to finish something. I have no idea if it works or how I feel about it. I think sometimes, you need a break and need to revitalize away from your art in order to return to it...I hope!

Bathers

One of the bigger paintings I've done, I saw these bathers at the Quarry and designed this painting with various scenes I saw.

Seagulls

Lots of seagulls hang out at the quarry in Maine. This was a difficult painting. I had two heros for too long...the rocks and the seagulls. I hope I have resolved this.

Sea Rocks

Home from Maine now...but missing it. This is the shoreline pretty much everywhere. Painting rocks is always a challenge...to make them look like rocks but be interesting as shapes and colors as well.
