On the pond done in oil

Did this in pastels and wanted to demo it in oil.  I kept it very loose and within the timing of the demo...around 45 minutes.  I know it could go further in details but I'm encouraging my students to stop and live with the painting for a bit.  Often they are frustrated that they went too far and liked their earlier efforts.

    Wonderful painting Aline. I love the reflections. I have a problem with looseness but timing yourself sounds like a good start.

    Like Hilda, I, also long to get loose. I mean painting-wise. I can hardly believe you did this lovely demo in 45 minutes. I'm going to start doing time-trials & remind myself that no one else will see the results. But, of course, I am my harshest judge. Aargh. Perhaps I must resort to "blindfolded art." Thanks for reminding me that we all go through dry spells, Aline! MaryB
