horse demos

Horseheads  6" x 6"
 These are my demos from this morning's oil class.  The bottom one, "Horse Light" (9" x 12") was primarily to show how to take a photo (the middle one) and be inspired by it but make it something else.  In these cold winters, working outside isn't my cup of tea so when I work from photos I try to be inspired by them, not wedded to them.

    Thank you for sharing the reference photo of Horse Light. Wow! You captured a warmth that wasn't there at all, quite the contrary. Beautiful work!
