The first photo is the demo I did and then worked on after class. I did this by just looking at and creating the shapes I saw without much drawing. This is a good way to think abstractly to create an illustrative picture.

I did this painting yesterday thinking of the abstraction of all the shapes and not what they really are. With boats in this kind of setting it's easier to do since I have no idea what everything is!
