IAPS 2019

DEMO 16 X 20 PASTEL

Just back fro IAPS 2019...The International Association of Pastel Societies conference and show held in Albuquerque, NM every other year.  I juried the regular show with Liz Haywood Sullivan and Sally Strand...both amazing artists and fabulous people...and we were all accepted into the Masters Circle show.  The two were extraordinary.

I also taught a one day workshop and gave a two hour demo.  My horse racing pastel was the demo and the street scene was the demo I gave in the workshop.  Additionally, I was very honored to have my pastel from last year which was awarded the Prix de Pastel grace the cover of the beautiful catalog for the show.

A couple of paintigns

The city scene was my demo from my oil class and is 8 x 10.  The other is a struggle I'm having in my studio.  I am caught between wanting it to be loose but also read.   It's good to show those struggles sometimes!
