I plan to post current paintings on my blog site. I'm not much of a writer but I do love to paint. I do oils and pastels and I teach workshops. I plan to sometimes post demos and talk about how to create a painting as well. Please check out my website at www.alineordman.com

Beach Demo
So, today I forgot the photo I was going to demo from so I borrowed a couple of photos from one of my students and it became a lesson in being totally about the painting and not the reference. What to use, what not, how to change the colors to work for your painting.

fruite demo
Well, the holidays are over and we are back in class. There are some new students joining us so I went over all the paints, color theory and techniques and then did this demo from our still life set up. Oil on board, 9 x 12 inches
