"Random Apples" is a 9x 12 oil on board demo from this morning's class.  I thought, apples, it'll be a breeze.  Ha!  A struggle.  Similar issues as the Girls on the beach..a grouping and not every one can be the hero

The Girls...a 12 x 24 oil on canvas.  A tough one.  Not sure I accomplished what I wanted.  It's possible there are too many "girls" taking attention.  Going to live with it a while

 I had the honor of doing a demo for the CT Pastel Society's Renaissance Pastel Show.  It was a beautiful show of work and a little intimidating for me.  I chose this photo so I could talk about painting shapes, not "houses" and changing colors to suit the painting...not being wedded to the photo but simply inspired by it
