My oil painting demo from my morning class.  The idea was, once again, to think of shapes in an abstract way...group your tulips rather than paint each one separately.  The star is the pitcher and the tulips are accent

And it was 10 stroke time in my pastel class...the pear was done in 10 strokes.  It really comes together after the background is put in.

Mackinac Town

Mackinac Town, oil on canvas 12" x 24" was a challenge.  I wanted to simplify the complex image into shapes, colors and let the values lead us into the picture.
